Bailey's Legacy Fun Run 2010 |

Help support childhood cancer awareness! Comforting Kids Foundation will be sponsoring a fun run Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Pioneer Park in Newman (across from the FDES Hall.) Cost is $15 per adult, $12 per person for teams of 10 or more, and $10 per child (18 and younger.) All proceeds benefit Bailey's Treasure Box.
- 1 mile walk/run will feature "Twinkles the Clown"
- 5k and 1 mile wlak/run will begin and end at Pioneer Park
- Registration is from 7:00-7:45 a.m.
- Both races start at 8:00 a.m.
- Teams are encouraged to create team shirts in honor/memory of loved ones affected by cancer.
- All participants receive a "Bailey's Legacy Run" bracelet
- If you would like to order a "Bailey's Legacy Run" t-shirt, add $15 to your registraiton fee and note this on your form. Orders due by August 23.

entertainment equipment, movies, toys, art supplies and so much more absolutely
help to "provide comfort and normalcy in the hospital
environment." We are continually amazed at how you have all
taken your vision and desire to make hospitalization and illness easier for the
children and their families. You have made it happen!!!! You are touching
so many lives, and we are all so grateful to you. Thank you so much,

November 18, 2009 -- Mary Kelley, Child Life Director and a crew of approximately eight other Child Life Specialists met Comforting Kids members for a much needed delivery. As the child life specialists explained, there are many children in isolation right now due to the ever growing H1 N1 influenza outbreak. Along with the ordinary demands, H1 N1 is keeping children confined to their rooms. They explained to Comforting Kids Foundation members that their shelves were bare. Not anymore, thanks to our many wonderful donors. With many appreciative smiles and a million thanks the amazing child life specialists carried off boxes of wish list items. Comforting Kids would like to thank everyone that played a part in helping make this possible. We felt great emotions driving away knowing the difference that had been made in the lives of so many ill children and their families. We thank you again!

came last week to the Child Life department when your amazing donation arrived!
My staff was completely overwhelmed by the abundantly generous cart loads
and boxes of toys, games, art supplies, and specific equipment. Our
Music Therapist was almost speechless when she saw the acoustic guitar AND the
electric guitar!
You
have such a special insight in to just what we need, and you so generously
provide. Please know that you continue to make a difference for so many
patients and families here, not just for the holidays, but all through the
year. We are so very grateful for your thoughtful support.

On August 22nd, 2009, Comforting Kids Foundation held their 2nd Annual Fund Raising Benefit held at Damascos in Patterson. Guests enjoyed Premium Wines provided by Stewart and Jasper's Company store, Hors D'oeuvres by Damasco's Fine Dining, a unique presentation by Master of Wine Tim Hanni, and live soft music provided by Joseph (Live Guitar), Ali (Songwriter and guitarist), and Adrea (pianist). A special thank to all event sponsors and guests. Thanks to you Comforting Kids will continue to fulfill local area hospital wish lists. You truly make a difference in the lives of many children! Thank you.
